I am currently listening to and loving a podcast called ‘What’s Essential’ by Greg Mckeown.

The premise of essentialism is that you work out what is essential in your life and then strip everything else away.

His book ‘Essentialism’ is my next book to read, but the podcast fills me up for now. It affirms some of my life choices while also expanding my thoughts on what is essential and how to live accordingly.

If we are to lead lives that are meaningful and allow us to make a contribution in ways that matter, we have to do the work of working out what is essential; otherwise, we risk living a life by default.

So, essentialism is what is colouring the three questions this month:

1. What is most important to you at this time in your life?

2. Are you giving this area the time and resources it needs?

3. What one action will give you more space to focus on what is essential?

This year is moving faster than last year, so knowing what is genuinely essential in 2021 will steer your 2021.

Wishing you a weekend of clarifying the essential.
