3 Questions March + Do you need some soul-filled adventure?

One the delights of my work is as a lead facilitator for The Hunger Project.

The Hunger Project (THP) is not like any other organisation; they see people living in hunger as the solution, not a problem that needs to be fixed. THP stayed away from White Saviorism before it was globally recognised as the surest way to disempower others.

The model of THP is rooted in the fact that people living in hunger have the same intellectual resources as anyone else; they have the problem-solving skills to shift their own lived experience. What they don’t have is the foundational resources that most of us take for granted.

Coaching is the model. Mindset shifts are the vehicle. Leadership, ownership and agency reap the rewards.

Over the years, I have led Leadership Immersions for THP in Uganda, and last year I was privileged to facilitate a Leadership Immersion in the Northern Territory. We hiked the Larapinta Trail, one of the most soul-filled and transformative hikes I have ever done, which is why I have returned time and again.  Walking for a few days in the heart of this land is something every Australian should experience if they can.

This year I am returning to the NT with THP, and I would be thrilled if you could join me on what I know will be a transformative life experience.

This adventure is made up of a few parts.

Mindset: Counting yourself in instead of counting yourself out. You do not need to have the title of leader. You do not need to be an endurance athlete. You do not need to be ‘perfect’. You just need to say yes to yourself.

Leadership: The physical adventure of training and then the hike itself will honour your self-leadership, teamwork and support from THP team and me.

Ownership: The internal adventure of fundraising for THP.

Feel free to respond to this email if you have questions.

3 Questions:

1. What was the last adventure you said yes to?
2. What did you learn about yourself and your capabilities?
3. When is your next adventure planned?

Another form of adventure – The Dare To Lead™ Retreat.

Unfortunately, one of the participants cannot attend the next DTL retreat, so there is one spot available. Is this spot yours?

Dates: May 05-07 2023 (arrival on evening of 04 May).

All inclusive cost (workshop, accommodation and meals) will be $3999 including GST.

Payment: As the retreat is only 6 weeks away, full payment would be required to secure your spot.
